Turning God’s House into a Den of Thieves, or, Using Religion as A Safety Net

Jesus cleared the temple and called them all thieves. Why? They were selling, not stealing, right!?!

Wrong. They were stealing the glory from the house of God. They were turning it into a marketplace, making money, and taking away from the true meaning of the faith.

What in life nowadays is representative of this? How are “we” (humans in general, not you specifically) taking away from the glory of God?

How many things are practiced under the “safety” of the church/religion, but truly take away from God?

Makes you stop and think.
